AmeriHealth NJ Encourages Members Recovering from Hurricane Sandy To Utilize Case Management Services Available to Them

CRANBURY, N.J. --(Business Wire)--

AmeriHealth NJ is reminding members who may be displaced as a result of Hurricane Sandy, and who may need help with medical issues, to contact AmeriHealth NJ's Case Management Hotline for assistance.

Case Management is available to all AmeriHealth NJ members and can provide assistance with the following:

  • Guidance on handling medical complications as a result of the storm
  • Solutions on how to get medications that need to be refilled
  • Coordinate access to physician care if needed

Members who need assistance with these types of issues are encouraged to call 1-800-313-8628, select prompt 3 and leave a message for a case manager to return the call. Messages are checked Monday through Friday, from 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. All calls will be returned within 24 hours, or the next business day if it is a holiday.

As always, ou Customer Service staff is available from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 1-800-275-2583 to assist members and ensure they have uninterrupted access regarding their health care benefits and services.

If AmeriHealth NJ members need to seek medical assistance, they are reminded to have their AmeriHealth NJ member card on hand. This will ensure that any member can access medical care quickly and without confusion.
