Bothell, WA, Dec 06, 2012 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) --
Vertafore (http://www.vertafore.com), the leading provider of software that transforms the insurance industry, today announced that Harry Snyder has been appointed as vice president, mobile strategy and innovation. In his new role, Snyder will focus on the development of new SaaS mobile products that help insurance professionals more efficiently service, sell and advise from any location.
Since 2011, Vertafore has adopted a strategy of ensuring its solutions are mobile-optimized and accessible via the cloud on any browser, equipping producers and underwriters with tools to help them be more successful in the field. This year alone, Vertafore has made it possible for more than 150,000 users to conveniently leverage its online solutions via a tablet or smartphone.
"Consumers have become accustomed to mobile technology and the increased level of service and convenience that they expect from every business they interact with; the insurance industry is not immune from this shift," said Mark Craig, senior vice president of product management. "Vertafore has been leading in mobility longer than any other insurance software provider, and Harry's experience developing SaaS and web-based tools will be instrumental in extending the power of our solutions to help improve the everyday work-life of our customers and enhance the consumer experience."
Most recently, Snyder served as Vertafore vice president of development, carrier & MGA markets. Prior to Vertafore, Snyder founded FinancePro, which piloted a web-based solution for premium finance loan management and agent quoting. FinancePro was acquired by AMS, which became Vertafore. Earlier in his career, Snyder was in charge of engineering for the automation of ESPN.com and ABCNews.com.
"Developing innovative solutions is what we do at Vertafore, and this is an exciting opportunity to elevate our leadership in mobility," said Snyder. "We want to empower our customers to work smarter and be a trusted advisor to their customers. This next year promises to showcase the breadth and expertise of Vertafore's solutions that agencies, carriers and MGAs have become accustomed to reaping the benefits of in the office, but will now do so more comprehensively on their tablet or smartphone."
Snyder earned a B.S. degree in computer engineering from U.C. San Diego.
