Federal Reserve Bank of New York announces management changes

The Federal Reserve Bank of New York, or New York Fed, has appointed Emily Rafferty as chair and re-designated Kathryn Wylde as deputy chair of its board of directors for 2013.
The bank has also announced that Sara Horowitz, founder and executive director of Freelancers Union and CEO of Freelancers Insurance Company, has been appointed a Class C director of the New York Fed by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System starting January 1, 2013, for a three-year term ending December 31, 2016.
Ms Rafferty is president of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and has served as a Class C director since January, 2011. Ms Wylde, president and CEO of the Partnership for New York City, has served as a Class C director since July 2009 and as deputy chair since 2010.
