A.M. Best Withdraws Ratings of MSI Preferred Insurance Company

A.M. Best Co. has withdrawn the financial strength rating of A+ (Superior) and issuer credit rating of "aa-" of MSI (News - Alert) Preferred Insurance Company (MSI Preferred). This follows the sale of MSI Preferred to COUNTRY Mutual Insurance Company from Middlesex Mutual Assurance Company (Middletown, CT) and its subsequent merger into COUNTRY Preferred Insurance Company, the surviving company. All companies are members of the COUNTRY Financial PC Group, led by COUNTRY Mutual and domiciled in Bloomington, IL, unless otherwise noted. The merger was effective Septembr 30, 2012.
