Loiselle Insurance Agency Gives Back to the Rhode Island Community this Holiday Season
Pawtucket, Rhode Island, Dec 19, 2012 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) --
The holiday lights shined a little brighter at Loiselle Insurance Agency this month. In the spirit of the holiday season, the Rhode Island insurance agency gave back through a partnership with The Salvation Army Pawtucket Corps. As a whole, the staff at Loiselle was able to fulfill 30 holiday wishes this year and bring smiles and joy to children all over Rhode Island.
Every year, Loiselle Insurance Agency supports a local charity during the holiday season. Donating gifts to those in need, the agents bring joy to the holidays with their good deeds. This year, the agency's close ties to The Salvation Army Pawtucket Corps encouraged them to get involved. Melanie Loiselle-Mongeon, Vice President of Loiselle Insurance Agency, currently serves on the advisory board, and her strong connection to the organization was infectious in getting the agency involved.
After obtaining gift tags from the Salvation Army that named a specific child and his or her desired gift, the entire staff purchased gifts to fulfill those wishes. From toys and games to pajamas and journals, the agents at Loiselle Insurance Agency successfully made wishes come true for 30 different children this holiday season. But the agency did not stop there. Their desire to give back led them to take part in the Salvation Army's Red Kettle Campaign as well.
The Salvation Army is an international movement in society, with a mission to meet human needs without discrimination. Since 1891, the group has been raising donations for individuals in need. The "red kettles" that can be seen during the holiday season are the most prominent way that the Salvation Army assists the community. During Thanksgiving and Christmas time, the red kettles help to assist more than four-and-a-half million people.
On Friday, December 14th, the entire staff from Loiselle Insurance Agency rang the bell all day long for the Salvation Army outside of the Stop & Shop on Mendon Road in Cumberland, RI. Donning holiday attire and smiles, staff members sang and danced outside while ringing the bells encouraging community members to donate. Their efforts did not go unnoticed. The Salvation Army commended Loiselle Insurance Agency for doubling the average donation for a weekday at that location.
At Loiselle Insurance Agency, giving back to the community is part of the culture. "It was such a great opportunity to get involved in the community for a very worthy cause and at the same point, we all had a lot of fun!" said one agent.
