New Cigna Medical Group Health Center Opens
PHOENIX --(Business Wire)--
Cigna Medical Group is celebrating the opening of its Phoenix Central
Multi Specialty Center with a grand opening celebration Thursday, Jan.
17, 2013 at 4 p.m. The center is located at 3003 North 3rd
Street (Southeast corner of 3rd Street and Earll Drive).
The treatment center is designed to provide cutting-edge health care to
Cigna customers through easy access to primary care physicians; digital
imaging services with instant results using electronic medical records;
vision services; a full service pharmacy; lab services; and outpatient
surgery services. It also has another important customer in mind -
mother nature.
"Cigna Medical Group is proud to share with the community that the
building was not only built with patients in mind, but the materials
used for the 95-thousand square foot facility will have a low impact on
the environment," said Edward Kim, president and general manager of
Cigna Medical Group. "Our focus is the health of the community as a
whole as well as the health of Cigna customers. People who may not have
Cigna insurance, but who need help after hours can come to Phoenix
Central for urgent care services and avoid long wait times that can be
associated with seeking care in an emergency department."
The building runs on solar power and has a system in place designed to
limit water and energy usage. The hoenix Central facility is a
candidate for LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design)
certification.
The urgent care is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday,
and is open weekends and holidays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
