Eastbridge Announces Updated Report on Voluntary Vision Products!
AVON, Conn. --(Business Wire)--
More and more employers today offer voluntary vision products as part of
their overall employee benefits package. These products have continued
to grow for the worksite industry and are even surpassing the growth of
employer-paid vision plans. Most carriers anticipate this trend to
continue, according to recent Eastbridge research, as employers
look for benefit cost-cutting opportunities and benefit flexibility and
determine the impacts of health care reform.
Eastbridge's latest report, Voluntary Vision Products 2012, examines
the current state of the voluntary vision market from the standpoint of
providers/carriers. Data was gathered from 14 different companies active
in the market, including:
-
Product features (i.e., product type, benefit amounts, aailable
options and riders, exclusions, unique product features)
-
Provider networks
-
Underwriting guidelines/eligibility parameters
-
Commissions
-
Enrollment methodology
-
Future trends
In addition, five other carriers and vision companies that declined to
participate in the interview were profiled in the report based on
secondary source materials. For each of these companies, the following
information was reported (as it relates to voluntary vision products):
