Allianz Life Promotes Emily Reitan to Assistant Vice President, Strategy and Business Development
MINNEAPOLIS --(Business Wire)--
Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz
Life) named Emily Reitan to the role of assistant vice president of
Strategy and Business Development responsible for developing the
company's future market strategy. Reitan will lead a cross-company
strategic team to evaluate, assess, and test growth options for Allianz
Life. Reporting to Chief Marketing Officer, Nancy Jones, Reitan will
work with executive leaders to identify and research future development
opportunities for the company.
"Emily's knowledge of our business and the industry will be critical to
how we research and prioritize the strategic options we have in front of
us to grow our business," said Jones. "Her knowledge of products,
distribution channels and finance will help ensure we maintain a
disciplined approach to our future market trategy."
Strategic business development has been an area of focus throughout
Reitan's tenure with Allianz Life. Prior to her promotion, Reitan held a
role as director of executive projects where she managed the Office of
the CEO and reported to President and CEO Walter White. In that role,
she led key strategic projects on behalf of the CEO and coordinated
deliverables for the parent company, Allianz SE, along with other
operating entities within Allianz globally. Before that, Emily was the
chief financial officer for Questar Capital, a subsidiary of Allianz
Life. Prior to joining Allianz Life in 2005, Reitan was a senior
financial analyst for Cardinal Health based in San Diego.
Reitan received her Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and political
science from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Wash. She also
earned a Master of Arts degree in international economic policy from
American University in Washington, D.C. Reitan is a Financial and
Operations Principal and holds FINRA Series 7 and 24 registrations.
