"Pedal Pamlico -- Ride with Pride" includes routes of five, 10, 25 and 50 miles.

It is again hosted by Village Health and Fitness of Oriental and is a USA Cycling-sanctioned event.

Registration on the web closes Thursday at villagehealthandfitness.com.

There will be bike inspections from 7 to 9 a.m.by Flythe's Bike Shop of New Bern. Registration and check-in closes a half-hour before the start of the race.

Advance participation costs are $20 for adults and $15 for children. On the day of the ride, registration is $40 for adults and $30 for children.
