The Cambridge Organization Launches "INSURANCE MATTERS" On 77 WABC in New York
NEW YORK --(Business Wire)--
Richard Lehrer and Arthur Grutt, principals of the Cambridge
Organization, believe too few people are given sufficient knowledge
about the insurance they purchase and own.
They ask "If insurance protects our families, incomes and health, why
does it seem so confusing " And with more than half of the 30 million
Gen X and Y households being uninsured, with baby boomers concerned
about outliving their incomes and the costs of long term care, "where
does one find access to unbiased information "
Further disturbing findings include that one third of married women do
not own life insurance despite the fact that 7 in 10 households are
dual-income households, and that nearly 30% of wives earn more than
their husbands.
Beginning Tuesday March 19th, Cambridge begins a radio campaign on 77
WABC entitled "INSURANCE MATTERS", which will air for more than 4
months. Lehrer and Grutt will also appear as exclusive guests on the
popular Laura Smith Program on weekends at 77 WABC. The Laura Smith
Program features expert advice and listener call-ins which allo for
direct call in Q&A on these important issues, and their appearances will
be on Sunday, April 7th, May 5th and June 2nd.
Among many important topics, listeners will learn how and when to
consider appropriate insurance products either thru work or
individually; how rates are determined; how long term care insurance
protects your savings and 401k accounts; how consumers with prior health
issues including heart, cancer and diabetes can now secure coverage.
They will also be able to phone in and speak with the Cambridge experts.
Lehrer stated, "Most people purchase a policy and tuck it away in their
file cabinet…where it sticks to the plastic it was delivered in." He
continued "Rarely does one's agent stay in touch to see if their life
has changed: a new child, new job, or a beneficiary change. Agents have
a responsibility to stay connected with their clients and we are going
to make sure that happens."
Noted Grutt, "The Health Care Affordability Act is causing confusion for
business owners regarding penalties if "Affordable" and "60% Minimum
Value" coverage is not offered. Employers want to know if their current
health plans are complaint with the new laws Cambridge has dissected
the thousands of pages of legislation and converted the confusion into
clear and actionable information."
