MoneySKILL Now Available in Spanish

The American Financial Services Association Education Foundation (AFSAEF) has announced that its free online personal finance course, MoneySKILL®, is now available in Spanish.

"The Hispanic population in the United States continues to grow and it's important that we reach them with helpful financial literacy tools like MoneySKILL en EspaƱol," said Rhonda Ashburn, Executive Director of the AFSAEF.

For many years, MoneySKILL has educated users on the basic understanding of money management fundamentals. In fact, over 850,000 users have benefitted from this comprehensive yet customizable program. The mobile friendly course includes the content areas of income, expenses, saving and investing, credit, and insurance. And, just recently, MoneySKILL added new content, in the area of vehicle financing, as well as recreated the data charts within the program.

MoneySKILL, created for students, is designed to be used as all or part of a course in economics, business, math, or wherever personal finances are taught. Students can access all 37 moules in the classroom, at home, or wherever an Internet connection is available. Built-in quizzes test students' grasp of each concept. Both the curriculum and its underlying technology infrastructure are updated regularly.

Educators interested in using MoneySKILL can register to access the curriculum at www.moneyskill.org or www.moneyskill.org/espanol. Parents, non-profit organizations and employers, as well as AFSA members are also encouraged to check out MoneySKILL in both Spanish and English.

Created in 1990 and based in Washington, D.C., AFSAEF's has worked to help consumers realize the benefits of responsible money management, understand the credit process and seek help if credit problems occur.
