Top executives of Markham-based Allstate Canada joined the Mayor of the Town of Markham, Frank Scarpitti, to officially celebrate the grand opening.

Allstate announced plans to enhance its agent distribution model in order to better respond to customer expectations and to the demands of an evolving marketplace and introduced the new Allstate Insurance Agency.

Chris Kiah, president and CEO, said that Allstate, over a period of 50 years, had focused on personal relationship with its customers, and the transition to a new Allstate Insurance Agency model was an opportunity to strengthen that relationship and focus more intently on the needs of the consumers.

"Today, we are excited to add our 93rd Agency which continues its focus on building relationships with new and existing clients. Consumers told us what they are looking for and what they want from an insurance company and we listened," said Jeff Burke, senior vice president of Burke, in a statement.

The Allstate Parkway Agency is a new concept, with a totally fresh approach. Not only does it provide customers with insurance products they need, but does so on their terms. Customers have access to a team of experienced and very knowledgeable Allstate agents, who are totally responsible for managing certain aspects of a customer's needs.

These agents work hard to create and develop a relationship and expand it by identifying additional features to keep abreast of the evolving insurance needs. In addition, the agents will strengthen the relationship at the time of renewals and extend enhanced customer service and support.

Allstate's agencies make it easier for consumers to do business and provide them with an exceptional customer experience. The "Good Hands Network" enables consumers to contact Allstate through one of our over 500 exclusive community-based agents, directly on-line at the Allstate portal and through the Customer Contact Center.
