Noridian Mutual Insurance Company (NMIC) announced it appointed Pradeep Goel, a national expert in health care and technology innovation, to serve as interim enterprise chief information officer.
Goel, who will also be continuing in his current role as the chief executive officer for Consumer Health Technologies (CHT) based in Florida, assumed this position effective immediately. CHT is a consumer driven health care software company.
“The addition of Pradeep Goel will help us accelerate the alignment of our technology capabilities with the needs of our internal and external consumers,” said Paul von Ebers, president and CEO of NMIC, in a statement.
“This new structure continues the partnership between our company and CHT, expanding it to the strategic level. Pradeep’s experience with Blue Cross Blue Shield companies in software and technology innovation brings us the flexibility to rapidly evolve our IT systems, rather than be bound by a core system or a specific vendor,” Ebers added.
CHT has served as a consultant and partner to Noridian Mutual Insurance Company for several years. The technology company assisted NMIC for the joint development and marketing support for NMIC’s EXACT integration platform. Recently, Goel completed an analysis of NMIC’s information systems, divisions and the information technology strategy.
Goel’s expertise will assist NMIC to migrate to an integrated enterprise-wide architecture and bring solutions to market that will increase member engagement, improve their experience and well being, deliver value to employers and achieve interaction with the health care delivery organizations in various markets.
“My focus is on organizing and empowering the NMIC IT organization to deliver strategic and tactical solutions for all our stakeholders—members, employers, providers and our business units,” said Goel. “NMIC will be strengthening its consumer engagement capabilities, allowing more innovation and personalized services.”
Recently, Consumer Health Technologies announced the appointment of two experienced leaders to their executive team. Former Noridian executive, Jay Martinson, has been appointed president of CHT and T. David Smith (News - Alert) joined CHT as senior vice president of sales and marketing.
