At the recent Interop Vegas 2011, TMC’s (News - Alert) CEO Rich Tehrani had the opportunity to speak with Sunil Cherian, the VP of Product Marketing for Array Networks (News - Alert).

A couple weeks ago TMC’s Rajani Baburajan wrote that Array Networks, a provider of application, desktop and cloud service delivery, announced that Reliance Life Insurance, the life insurance wing of Reliance Capital, selected Array Networks' NetVelocity link load balancing to increase application availability for its users and employees.

Reliance Life Insurance was looking for something that would provide fast switching and enhanced application throughput with asymmetric compression for their Web applications, according to Balram Chaudhary, IT manager at Reliance Life Insurance.

Cherian spoke of how the cloud is “starting to” affect his industry. More cloud service providers are deploying their products, he said, adding that they’re a part of the infrastructure for some of the bigger cloud providers.

He also sees the competition in the market changing, and spoke about the interesting things he sees happening there, offering some genuine market insight on conditions.

The company has also achieved certification by the RSA (News - Alert) Secured Partner Program for interoperability between the Array SPX Series universal access controllers and the RSA enVision platform from RSA, The Security Division of EMC (News - Alert).

This certification signifies that a technical partnership has been established to increase security for joint customers.

Array Networks SPX Series UAC appliances were engineered from the ground up to provide secure access to cloud services, networks, applications and data for any class of user, on any device in any location. Using end-point and server-side security and encryption for data in motion, the SPX Series holds all users located inside or outside the corporate network to the same security standard.
