EMC (News - Alert) Documentum xCP has been deployed by Generali Hellas to enhance its competitive position and operational efficiencies. An announcement in this regard has been made by EMC Corporation (News - Alert) at the EMC Information Intelligence Group's global user conference, Momentum. Generali Hellas is a member of the Generali Group or Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A. The Generali Group is the largest European insurance group and second largest global financial insurance company. Dynamic business solutions can be built using EMC Documentum xCP.
Enterprise content management, business process management, intelligent capture, and compliance management have been combined by EMC Documentum xCP. Productivity and decision making have therefore increased. Insurance application processing time has been now accelerated by Generali from weeks to days.
Generali's insurance application processing has been transformed with the web-based access, activity monitoring and reporting. Decision quality and service levels have been improved as more visibility into business operations is provided.
Nearly two million pages of paper were printed by Generali last year for its agents to service its customers. Costs associated with printing, postage and fulfillment have now been massively reduced after deploying EMC Documentum xCP. Generali has also achieved legislative compliance by deploying EMC Documentum xCP.
Generali Hellas' ability to support its business strategy and competitive position was being impacted by its previous information management infrastructure. Several ECM, BPM, and capture solution providers were evaluated before EMC Documentum xCP was finalized by Generali.
In a release, Elias Mandouvalos, Assistant IT Manager, Generali Hellas said, "EMC Documentum xCP was by far the most complete offering on the market with integrated ECM, BPM and capture. We conducted an in-depth technical inspection, and Documentum xCP delivered the functionalities we were looking for. It simply does what they said it would do – accelerating application processing and empowering our agents to provide industry-leading service to our customers."
According to Rohit Ghai, VP and GM, Content and Case Management Group at EMC Information Intelligence Group, EMC Documentum xCP is deployed by global organizations like Generali to simplify business operations. Apart from increasing return on investment, EMC Documentum xCP helps organizations make accurate decisions. The existing xCP infrastructure can be relied upon by Generali for even faster time-to-market benefits.
