QualChoice, an Arkansas-based health services company offering a comprehensive line of health benefit and ancillary products on both a fully insured and self-insured basis, has selected TriZetto’s (News - Alert) Clinical CareAdvance 4.7 solution to advance its collaboration with providers, improve clinical outcomes for members and enhance care-related communications with employer customers.
QualChoice expects to go live on the system in early 2012.
Officials with TriZetto said that QualChoice also extended to 2017 its agreement with the company to provide application management services for Clinical CareAdvance and other solutions that automate and streamline benefits administration and network management.
“We’ve been using disparate systems and processes for population health management (PHM),” said Haley Wilson, vice president, chief operations officer and chief information officer at QualChoice, in a statement.
“TriZetto’s solutions will help consolidate and integrate our PHM efforts to facilitate our collaboration with providers, employers and members. The more granular data will help us further improve the cost and quality of care management we provide for our employer groups,” said Wilson.
He said that with TriZetto’s application management services, QualChoice will continue to strategically deploy its IT staff and closely align internal resources with business goals.
“TriZetto’s solutions will help deepen our partnership with providers,” said Richard Armstrong, M.D., QualChoice’s vice president of medical affairs.
Armstrong said that they will enrich the company’s information sharing with practitioners and facilities and work together to manage population health for improved clinical outcomes.
He said that the TriZetto solutions will help the company team with providers to deploy new models of care delivery, such as patient-centered medical home (PCMH) and accountable care organizations.
“We’re already piloting one PCMH, and we’ll build on that,” said Armstrong.
Jude Dieterman, executive vice president and payer markets president at TriZetto said that separately, core administration and care management applications can improve productivity, coordinate benefits and care, and reduce health plans’ costs.
“But TriZetto’s integrated, end-to-end software and service solutions give QualChoice and many other healthcare organizations a powerful opportunity not only to improve administrative efficiency, but also to support more efficient care models, most effectively engage members in health improvement and reduce overall medical costs,” said Dieterman.
TriZetto provides world-class healthcare IT software and service solutions that drive administrative efficiency, improve the cost and quality of care, and increase payer and provider collaboration and connectivity.
