The city of Hartford, Connecticut has decided to redeploy the BidSync eProcure and Builder bid management system to handle electronic procurement.
City officials pointed out that they were in need of an e-procurement solution where they could gain back the direct efficiency resulting in productivity that comes along with a SaaS (News - Alert) based solution. BidSync eProcure and Builder allowed them to quickly create and post RFPs, RFIs, or RFQs, receive electronic offers from vendors and easily manage the overall challenges of procurement – including those that are as complex as construction RFPs.
BidSync eProcure helps users create accurate bid documents quickly, target the right suppliers with ease, and receive supplier responses electronically. By constructing project bids from the solution, one can realize savings of over 70 percent on everything from goods to services.
Built on the most advanced scoring matrix system, the web-based tool enables evaluating and scoring committees to log into the secure scoring system from any geographic location. BidSync eProcure manages all solicitations types including: informal and formal quotes, electronic sealed bids, reverse auctions, and aggregated purchasing (co-op bids).
The city of Hartford will be leveraging eProcure’s versatility to help vendors easily respond electronically to their bid opportunities via secure, encrypted lockbox technology. The BidSync eProcure increases productivity through fast staff adoption and implementation and allows spend management to be realized by government agency procurement departments.
BidSync asserted that has a 98 percent retention rate that speaks volumes about its system, not only in terms of cost savings but also its customer service about the accolades that its system consistently receives in the industry. Government agencies that have chosen a different e-procurement solution for budgetary reasons quickly realize that the benefits BidSync provides are unmatched elsewhere.
City governments, along with other government entities, are feeling increased pressure to cut costs and improve efficiency. BidSync’s powerful, yet easy to use e-procurement solution helps bridge the gap between the city of Hartford and the businesses with which it works.
