QlikView Helps Lockton's Insurance Advisors Access Important Data

Lockton, a privately-held independent insurance broker, will now be able to maintain its competitive lead with the implementation of QlikTech’s QlikView BI solution. Millions of records, which contain valuable information to help clients select the best insurance programs, are stored by Lockton’s BI and data warehousing solution. The simple and intuitive QlikView dashboard has been interfaced with Lockton’s solution to allow Lockton professionals easy access to this important data.

In a release, David Robinson, CIO for Lockton said, “In order to compete in a very competitive market, we needed a solution that harnessed all of our data, presented it in a timely manner, and provided greater insight and operational effectiveness for our company. QlikView is a critical decision-support solution for Lockton, delivering reports and analysis in minutes and putting information at our brokers’ fingertips.”

He added, “With QlikView at the core, we have built a scalable and flexible data architecture with new processes to allow more efficiency in aggregating and reporting insurance program information. Lockton ARMR, powered by QlikView, provides our service teams with a valuable solution to compare insurance programs, coverage options and pricing prior to making decisions about clients’ insurance and risk management programs.”

The need for a BI environment supporting transparent information sharing throughout the company was felt by Lockton’s Information Technology and Risk Management groups in 2010. Data can be now stored, captured, and analyzed at the business rate with the launch of Lockton Analytical Risk Metric Resource system or Lockton ARMR.

QlikView is an important part of Lockton ARMR. CIBER (News - Alert) Inc., a partner of QlikTech has helped Lockton to store all the industry, market, and client data in a data warehouse, which can be searched using QlikView. Lockton also plans to launch a mobile reporting tool in the future by implementing QlikView on the iPad.
