Freedom Imaging Systems (News - Alert), a provider of solutions for documents management, asserted that it is going to use Online Tech’s HIPAA compliant data center for colocation services to preserve its clients’ data and image files.
Online Tech claimed that its HIPAA compliant data center passed an independent HIPAA audit with 100 percent compliance and ensures protected health information secure and private. It also ensures PHI accessibility as required by HITECH. Online Tech owns and operates all of their data centers with a low risk of natural disasters. Its IT framework ensures that critical data and applications are secured and available 24/7, and the data centers are interconnected with Gigabyte fiber for internet traffic failover and routing of backup and disaster recovery data between data centers.
With Online Tech’s colocation services, Freedom will be able to offer cloud-based hosting services while obtaining HIPAA, SOX and PCI (News - Alert) compliant colocation solutions. Its clients will also be able to receive the security of independently SAS 70, SSAE 16, SOC 2 & 3, HIPAA and PCI audited data centers to protect their data from external threats.
Freedom stated that it offers a paperless environment and implements digital workflow for healthcare and small and medium-sized businesses. Its clients store sensitive information such as the ePHI (electronic protected health information) in their files, and Freedom wanted a hosting partner that offered top-notch security and the company reportedly searched for hosting provider who also had a positive reputation. Online Tech fulfilled all its requirements.
“We’re proud of setting the national standard in our commitment to independent auditing across mission critical industries. But we’re not too proud to roll up our sleeves and problem solve with each client to find the best balance of security, compliance, and affordability for their unique needs” exclaimed Mike Klein, president and COO of Online Tech, in a press release.
