Shelter Insurance and Symbility Enter Multi-Year Contract
July 27, 2012
Symbility Solutions Inc. and the Shelter Insurance group of companies have entered into a strategic contract that will run for many years. The property and casualty insurance industry are offered cloud-based claims technology by Symbility Solutions Inc.
In a release, Tom Klenke, Home Office Claims Manager at Shelter Insurance said, "We pride ourselves on our fast and fair claims service. Our promise to our policyholders is to always be there for them. We chose to move to Symbility because it is a web-based application, offering us unparalleled flexibility and visibility. We can access and use the software from any computer with no hardware to install or software to maintain and our professional adjusters are able to provide quick and accurate on-site estimates using a very easy-to-use field estimating tool."
Symbility, whose parent company is Automated Benefits Corp., offers the best-in-class SaaS (News - Alert) or Software as a Service-based processing and estimating software solution. The Symbility offering will allow Shelter Insurance to offer an enhanced claims experience to their esteemed policyholders, thereby fulfilling its major requirement. Shelter Insurance will be able to have the ultimate charge and visibility of claims during the claim lifecycle with the associative online workflow management offering of Symbility Claims Connect. Shelter Insurance will also be able to utilize the extremely perceptive field estimating offering for developing on-site estimates in a rapid and precise manner with Symbility Mobile Claims, thereby improving adjuster and third-party contractor efficiency. As compared to the outdated software, which required a disk for installation, users can now run the most recent version of the platform without setting up any hardware or maintaining any software.
James Swayze, Chief Executive Officer of Symbility Solutions said, "We are proud to be Shelter's claims estimating platform of choice. This agreement validates the Symbility and Marshall & Swift (News - Alert)/Boeckh ("MSB") partnership by having Shelter maintain use of MSB's Total Component Data and analytics together with Symbility's intuitive software platform."
Insurances in the fields of auto, home, life, farm, and business are offered by Shelter Insurance. The organization has customers in 17 states that are served through a network of 3,100 local insurance agents and claims representatives.
