A.I.M. Mutual Insurance Companies has named insurance technology veteran, Abi Troy, as its next information technology manager. A.I.M announced the promotion today adding that Troy will be in charge of all systems design, programming and development.
First formed in 1988, the Massachusetts-based company began specializing in workers’ compensation.
“A.I.M Mutual introduced workers compensation as a partnership between the employer and the insurer, and in short order employers welcomed the change and saw the immediate benefits,” said A.I.M. “The company has grown to one of the largest regional workers compensation specialists, maintaining a major share of the Massachusetts market.”
A.I.M. now has over 100 employees that bring in more than $100 million in revenues. The company expanded throughout Massachusetts including offices in Bridgewater, Holyoke, and Marlborough.
To help oversea the increasing demands of its IT department, A.I.M announced that it would be promoting Troy, who has worked at the company for over 10 years. Before working at A.I.M., Troy spent over 15 years as a programmer, analyst, and consultant for multimillion-dollar companies. In 1997 she decided to begin working for A.I.M. and began as an information technology project leader.
Troy continued to work hard in the information technology department and after a decade has finally earned a promotion to manager. A.I.M. said she will be responsible for everything in the IT department and will oversee implementation of a new integrated policy, billing, and claims administration system with Tropics Software Technologies.
“We recognize that no company or concept, regardless of how well conceived, can succeed without the right people in place. We credit our staff, all highly experienced in their disciplines, for putting their service oriented work ethic and workers compensation insurance knowledge into practice, every day, in all they do,” said A.I.M. “Our employees are expected to be knowledgeable and responsive to our customers and to each other…we hold ourselves to the highest ethical standards in our dealings with customers, colleagues, vendors, and all industry contacts. We work to earn our customers trust and respect every day.”
A.I.M. expects Troy to take over as IT Manager immediately.
