Boston Mutual Goes Policy Perfect

The Napersoft CCM (News - Alert) Document Platform has been successfully implemented by Boston Mutual Life Insurance Company to streamline the policy document process. This will result in higher quality documents, improved employee productivity and increased customer satisfaction.

Boston Mutual was founded in 1891 and for over 120 years, the company has been providing affordable insurance coverage for people in all 50 states. Since policies are complex, however, they vary largely in content and length in accordance with the state requirements.

To improve the speed and quality of policy documents, Boston Mutual sought out a document automation system and ultimately selected Napersoft (News - Alert) CCM. Through process-oriented workflows and open integration into Boston Mutual's mainframe application, Napersoft CCM composes the policy, renders it to a PDF document and distributes it to Boston Mutual printers.

Napersoft CCM’s ability to make the template authoring process easy and efficient has also improved employee productivity. By using Napersoft CCM Author, an application can be built on Microsoft (News - Alert) Word technology, meaning that Boston Mutual employees now have the power to create document templates.

CCM Author enables Boston Mutual to significantly reduce the number of policy document templates by allowing components such as paragraphs and images to be reused by employees across various document templates.

Sandy Carraggi of Boston Mutual stated, "Although we have few templates for our policy documents, the complexity of our documents has not been compromised. Our templates include up to 40 reusable paragraphs, ensuring that our documents are tailored and specific to our clients."

Boston Mutual is in the process of converting all billing letters to Napersoft CCM due to the organization's continued success with the solution and also plans to rollout Napersoft CCM to other departments within the organization.
