HealthPlanOne Ranks Number 49 On Deloitte's Technology Fast 500 List

November 20, 2012

In this economy, companies continue to struggle to find their place in an ever-changing market. However, one health insurance brokerage company, HealthPlanOne, LLC (HPO) seems to be doing just fine, ranking number 49 on Deloitte’s (News - Alert) Technology Fast 500 list. The list ranks the top 500 companies showing growth in technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences, and clean technology in the country.

HPO specializes in providing a web based health insurance brokerage site focused on marketing individual and family health insurance and small business health insurance. The company said it not only educates it customers, but provides them with the best selection of health plans and customer service – which seems to be paying off.

“The Deloitte Technology Fast 500 Award and our ranking in the top 50 companies in North America highlights our position as a leading provider of member acquisition solutions for the health insurance industry,” said William Stapleton, HPO’s CEO, in a statement. “Our ability to provide a superior customer experience in the online market continues to provide us with a major competitive advantage.”

HPO said it knows that finding insurance can be a daunting task and makes it a point to work with every national health insurance carrier available. “The trend now is for individuals and families to purchase their own health insurance at their own expense. This trend is known as Consumer Directed Healthcare and will change the way healthcare is thought about forever,” said HPO. “Our mission is to provide affordable health plans for the well informed.”

Eric Openshaw, vice chairman, Deloitte LLP and U.S. technology, media, and telecommunications (TMT) leader, said HPO’s mentality and business practices are exactly why they created the Deloitte award.

Openshaw said, “These ground-breaking companies have outpaced the competition and are reinventing the way we do business today.”
