Frontline Homeowners Insurance Joins Hands with Torrent Technologies

Standard homeowners’ and renters’ insurance generally does not cover flood damage. So, flood coverage should be taken in a separate policy. However, the process is cumbersome.

In an effort to provide seamless solution to flood coverage quoting, Frontline Homeowners Insurance has collaborated with Torrent Technologies, Inc. to launch a new web-based application that can provide faster turnaround time and improved data management for agents.

Lake Mary, Florida-based Frontline Homeowners Insurance is a group of independent insurance companies serving homeowners throughout the Southern United States. Its affiliated companies include the Fidelity Fire & Casualty Co. and First Protective Insurance Co. It was founded with an objective to provide reliable insurance service to coastal homeowners in the southeastern United States, particularly Florida and South Carolina.

Torrent Technologies, Inc. provides solutions and customized services for insurance companies and the U.S. government. One of its products, TorrentFlood, improves the way in which insurance companies participate in the Write-Your-Own (WYO) Program.

Torrent Technologies helped Frontline Homeowners Insurance launch a key update to Frontline’s web-based agent point-of-sale system. This update was in regards to integration between Frontline and Torrent Technologies' policy issuance systems.

According to Frontline Homeowners Insurance, the new update to the web-based agent point-of-sale system helps in the bridging of data from Frontline to Torrent and facilitates a high level of data accuracy, real-time transaction processing, and a simple to use user-interface. This in turn offers fast and easy flood policy submissions and real-time results processing.

Leman Porter, president, Frontline Homeowners Insurance, said in a statement, "Our new technology platform helps our agents quickly and accurately process flood submissions, which translates into more profitable agents."

Porter added, "By integrating our technology platform with Torrents', we are able to provide a much more efficient way for agents to service their customers. This integration allows us to provide the easiest homeowner-flood policy processing in the business."

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) administers the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).
