Geisinger Health Plan Selects hCentive for Health Insurance Exchange Integration

hCentive, a provider of health insurance exchange technology, announced that Geisinger Health Plan (GHP), a health insurance provider, has selected hCentive's health insurance exchange integration and private exchange solutions.

With growing complexities of multi-exchange integration with state and federal exchanges, hCentive has seen an increase of interest for its WebInsure Private Exchange and WebInsure Exchange Manager.

According to hCentive, the market is actively preparing for exchange integration and health plan providers have concerns about those operations going smoothly. WebInsure Exchange Manager provides a platform that allows them to sell products on multiple exchanges, manage claims, and ensure that all payment and billing information remains in compliance.

"We are very pleased to work with GHP to offer them our exchange integration and private exchange solutions," said Manoj Agarwala, president and chief operating officer of hCentive. "They offer a variety of plans to 400,000 members in the 43-county service area, and needed innovative solutions that address new emerging trends emanating from healthcare reform."

GHP selected hCentive's WebInsure Exchange Manager to manage complex enrolment and reconciliation processes brought by the state and federal exchanges integration processes. The system will be used to accept and transmit data to and from external sources while synchronizing with their own internal systems.

WebInsure Private Exchange platform allows the insurance firm to sell products on multiple exchanges, manage claims, and ensure all payment and billing information remains in compliance.

“Many insurers are planning on operating on multiple exchanges, and they need a scalable and customizable platform in order to manage the complexity, which WebInsure Exchange Manager provides," said Agarwala in a statement.

hCentive is the first organization to build an exchange solution from the ground-up post the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 (PPACA), according to company officials. hCentive solutions align with federal and state regulations and meet or exceed all industry standards, they added.
