Management of claims and policies is a complex, tedious, time-consuming process, but there are many insurance agency management solutions, that take the pain out of the process. For an independent insurance agency, investment in suitable software solutions is a must, as these solutions help automate the procedures at these agencies.
QQ Solutions, a Software as a Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) company providing feature-rich, affordable solutions for independent insurance agencies, recently completed 25 years of its presence in the agency management software space. The company’s flagship product, QQ Catalyst, which was originally created as an undergraduate software development project at the University of Florida, is currently being used by more than 22,000 users. This must have been a long and tedious journey for QQ, but it has earned all the kudos and industry recognitions that it deserves.
QQ was recently named one of the “25 Fastest-Growing Technology Companies” in South Florida by the South Florida Business Journal.
In a statement, QQ Solutions founder Mark Malis’ fondly recalled how his agency management system started taking shape some 25 years back.
As a part of his undergraduate program, Malis was required to write software for any business of his choosing. He decided to write a program that would help speed up the procedures for his father’s auto insurance agency business. As a result of his efforts, his first agency management system, AutoFile, was born in 1983. When the product was first deployed at his father’s agency, it sped up everyday tasks that used to bog down his agents. This positive outcome motivated Mali and his father to sell the product at the other agencies
That decision marked the beginning of a very successful journey. In the span of its 25 years of business, QQ Solutions has always paid heed to their customers’ changing needs and adapted itself to the new technologies. QQ Catalyst is compatible with any connected device including iPad, iPhone (News - Alert), or any Android device, allowing agents to run their business anytime, anywhere.
Earlier this month, QQ released the application programming interface, or API, for QQ Catalyst. The API will allow developers to access Catalyst data in the cloud through an exhaustive group of API procedures in a protected manner. Developers are also offered an API Web portal and developer sandbox together with comprehensive documentation and sample source code.
