Xand Receives Contract From BCBSRI For Disaster Recovery Solutions

Xand announced that the company has received a multi-million dollar contract from Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island (BCBSRI) to deploy critical infrastructure for establishing production and disaster recovery solutions for the latter. Following the development, Xand would develop an exclusive solution for BCBSRI by offering colocation facility from Xand’s full-fledged data center in Massachusetts. The architecture developed for BCBSRI includes system monitoring to the application level and ensuring 100 percent business continuity through on-premise as well as cloud-based recovery platforms.

In a release, President and Chief Executive Officer at Xand, Yatish Mishra, said “Having Rhode Island’s largest insurer place their trust in Xand for critical resource management is truly an honor. We take pride in being able to design and deploy technology platforms on a scale required by large operations like Blue Cross & Blue Shield, while also maintaining our ability to deliver the highest levels of personalized service and organizational responsiveness in the industry. In addition to the company’s 24x7 Network Operations Center, Xand also enlisted the services of its network partners to provide increased layers of system redundancy, data recovery and business continuity to BCBSRI operations outside the Northeast region. The end-to-end solutions provided by Xand enabled BCBSRI to successfully address the challenges associated with multifaceted IT infrastructure as well as opened up scalability options for the company’s future plans.
