Semafone announced the deployment of its secure payments solution at Amica Mutual Insurance Company to manage Amica’s payment transactions taken over the phone call. Semafone would implement the solution at all 40 branches of Amica Mutual and its call centers based in the US. The technology will be used by more than 1,500 customer service representatives of Amica Mutual to securely process telephonic payments. Semafone solution is fully compliant with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI (News - Alert) DSS) regulations.
In a release, Tim Critchley, CEO at Semafone, said, “Amica’s selection of Semafone demonstrates that Semafone’s technology is about providing the best possible customer service as well as delivering secure telephone payments. We are glad to be working with Amica to reassure policyholders while helping the company to maintain its award-winning level of customer service.”
The payments solution from Semafone would enable the customers of Amica Mutual to make payments over the phone. The customers can enter their payment card details using the telephone keypad, following which the details will be relayed directly to the payment processor. The customer service representative of Amica Mutual stays online to provide any required assistance; however, the representative will not be able to gain any access to the payment card details. This enables Amica Mutual to offer unprecedented customer service to its policyholders.
Gil Bishop, information security officer at Amica, said, “Amica’s mission is to create peace of mind and build enduring relationships with our policyholders so providing exceptional service is our number one priority. Semafone’s solution gives us the ability to proactively deliver the best possible service to our customers, while protecting them at the same time.”
