John Hancock Insurance has eliminated the need of its customers to print, sign and mail common life insurance customer service forms.
The company has introduced electronic signatures to this end.
Life insurance customers leverage electronic signatures to speed up processing of their request.
The intelligent electronic forms are designed to guide the client to successful completion of the form. Mike Doughty, president, John Hancock Insurance claims that 97 percent of forms submitted and signed electronically are accurate.
This large percentage of accuracy leads to speeding up of the response process and contribute to the company’s bottom line.
John Hancock is also allowing its customers to make secure, online payments for policies.
"John Hancock is committed to providing our customers and producers with the best possible service experience," said Doughty. "Automated services, such as electronic signatures, are required to meet their demands for easier and simplified ways to do business."
Electronic signatures can be used to complete several forms including address change, beneficiary change, name change, pre-authorized payment plan, special authorization / 3rd party and many more.
John Hancock also offers online processes and tools for producers including completing and submitting various applications for all life insurance products.
Producers automatically receive an electronic copy of a life policy package, within 24 hours after policy issue, and they can access copies of clients' key inforce life policy documents on the web.
“Consumers today want seamless, self-service online processes,” added Doughty.
John Hancock offers and administers a broad range of financial products. The company was in news last year for announcing its intent to acquire Bellevue, Wash.-based Symetra Investment Services (SIS) from Symetra Financial Corporation (SYA).
Symetra Investment Services is a dual registered broker-dealer/investment advisor firm with about 280 registered representatives. SIS is now affiliated with John Hancock Financial Network (JHFN).
