Southern Trust Insurance Company, a regional insurance company that does business in Georgia, Tennessee, and South Carolina, successfully replaced its two legacy core processing systems for policy and billing with solutions prescribed by its implementation partner Discoverture, a provider of IT services and solutions to the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance industry.

John D Houser, president and chief executive officer at Southern Trust Insurance Company, stated, “Given how critical the success of the project is to our future, we needed to have the right implementation partner. Discoverture took complete ownership of project, often managing multiple vendors and staff and has proven to be an extremely skilled and valued partner bringing the highest level of integrity and a ’can do’ attitude.”

Discoverture exclaimed that it can build or modernize one’s existing core production environments and also simplify the implementation procedures through a combination of domain expertise, processes, disciplined execution, and technology proficiency. For Southern Trust, it helped them deploy Accenture (News - Alert) Duck Creek Policy and Billing solutions for commercial lines BOP processing.

Both Discoveture and Southern Trust worked together to realize a fully-integrated enterprise solution that can drive Southern Trust’s objective to generate more revenue and diversify geographically with new states and also control costs. Along with plan development and execution, Discoverture also offered services likes business analysis, system architecture, project management, development, testing, user training, integration, and customization to Southern Trust.

Steve Addair, president of Discoverture, added, “This was a very complex and aggressive undertaking by Southern Trust, and we appreciate them putting their trust in the Discoverture team and giving us the opportunity to demonstrate our ability to deliver. The success of the project was made possible through the skills and dedication of the joint team, but just as importantly due to the close and trusting relationship forged between Discoverture and Southern Trust.”
