Kenco, a provider of integrated logistics solutions, real estate services, and material handling equipment, has recently deployed SmartDrive's event recording system in its entire nationwide fleet to increase safety, while cutting costs.
Officials at Kenco said that their company was seeking a video-based safety solution that provides actionable awareness into safety events. The company finalized on SmartDrive solution for its user friendly features and its structured coaching workflow to enable consistent implementation of the SmartDrive program across the fleet. In addition, Kenco plans to make use of SmartDrive's easy-to-use Response Center and its "3-Steps to Coach" workflow.
The video analysis, predictive analytics and personalized performance program provided by the solution enables fleets to improve driving skills and reduce operating costs. The easy-to-use managed service helps commercial fleets and transit agency operators access and self-manage driving performance remotely. The driving performance insight and analysis delivered by SmartDrive also helps save fuel, expenses and lives.
"Safety is a priority for our company and we continue to invest in solutions that help us reduce risk while improving operational efficiency," said Jeff Tanner, vice president of risk management for Kenco Management Services. "Through our partnership with SmartDrive, we expect that we will be able to better manage our operational costs and deliver outstanding service, all while protecting customers' freight and keeping our drivers safe."
The SmartDrive safety program has been adopted by 26 other transit agencies in the United States. The list includes UTA, LA Metro, DART, Nassau County and Veolia Transportation. The safety solutions have also been installed in over 10,000 transit vehicles to help agencies protect vehicle operators and the public in a cost effective manner.
"We are proud to have been selected as a partner by Kenco, a company that understands every second counts when it comes to safety," said Steve Mitgang, CEO of SmartDrive. "Kenco serves a diverse group of customers, requiring an open, scalable solution with the flexibility to be tuned to its specific safety priorities.”
Mitgang points out their configurable program was designed from the ground-up with this in mind, enabling Kenco to protect its drivers and reduce collisions without requiring them to fit in a 'one-size-fits-all' box.
