Zurich Insurance has expanded use of Accenture’s (News - Alert) software to rapidly deploy products and improve customer service.
As part of the pact, Zurich has extended its use of Accenture Duck Creek Policy for general insurance business in the United Kingdom.
Officials with Accenture said that the Accenture Duck Creek suite is designed to help property and casualty insurers of all sizes to improve customer service and lower costs by enabling them to configure products, transact lines of business and process claims more efficiently.
The software supports the entire policy life cycle process from point of sale through to renewal.
Thanks to the new system, Zurich will now be able to more rapidly develop, deploy and process insurance products and improve customer service across multiple lines of business.
“Delivering products and solutions that meet our customers’ needs is imperative for us – and underpinning that with first class customer service will always be our primary aim,” said Markus Nordlin, chief information officer, Zurich, in a statement.
“We continually look for new ways to ensure that we can do this and having the right technology is a big part of the equation,” said Nordlin.
Michael A. Jackowski, global managing director of Accenture Duck Creek said that Zurich is a leader and innovator in the insurance industry internationally.
Jackowski said that the company is pleased they chose Accenture Duck Creek Policy as its new policy processing software and they are expanding its footprint to multiple lines.
He said that the modern technology will give them the flexibility to develop market leading products and enable the process improvements that provide better customer service and greater efficiency.
Earlier this month, Accenture, a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company, announced the expansion of Accenture Duck Creek's alliance partner program, a strategic initiative that enhances its alliance strategy with key technology, solution and delivery partners.
This program opens the Accenture Duck Creek architecture in new ways and expands the delivery choices for clients, allowing for solutions to be implemented more seamlessly and quickly.
