Online auto insurance companies are generating considerable business these days. Customers often find it easier to compare and search various plans online. Also, many online auto insurance companies offer attractive discounts to increase their business.
GEICO, a provider of auto insurance quotes online, has announced that the company has achieved the highest overall score in Forrester Research’s (News - Alert) September 2014 report, 2014 U.S. Mobile Auto Insurance Functionality Benchmark. The company secures an overall score of 90 out of 100 in five categories. The company also scored perfect scores in the fields of touchpoints, quotations and policy information and management.
Insurance companies are keen to provide services through mobile apps as customers prefer it that way. So, improving mobile customer experience becomes a major business strategy for these companies. Keeping this in mind, the report evaluated the functions of each company’s mobile insurance services. The report examined how well these functions work to satisfy customer needs.
Among other companies, only GEICO was recognized for the support it provides to most consumer devices. The company also led all evaluated insurers for end-to-end mobile sales. Impressed by GEICO’s overall performance, Forrester proclaimed GEICO as “The pocket auto insurer.”
“Getting the top overall score from Forrester is a huge accomplishment that we believe reflects our ongoing commitment to deliver the absolute best mobile experience for our customers,” said Greg Kalinsky, GEICO senior vice president and chief information officer. “I am proud of our GEICO associates who are focused on driving innovation with great mobile products that separate us from our competitors.”
Apart from earning recognition for its products and services, GEICO is also in the good books of its employees. Recently, the Des Moines Register named GEICO to its list of Top Workplaces in Iowa for 2014.
