Texas Mutual Insurance is one of the leading U.S. providers of worker’s compensation insurance has teamed up with Property/Casualty software solutions provider Guidewire Software to upgrade its insights into customers thereby enabling staff to provided enhanced customer services.  Texs Mutual will be using Guidewire’s DataHub™ and InfoCenter solutions to support its enterprise-wide data management and business intelligence strategies.

Guidewire’s Datahub and InfoCenter will take the place of it’s the insurer’s internally built and run systems.

“We are excited about the prospect of using Guidewire DataHub and InfoCenter as our primary data source,” said Randy McKean, senior manager, Information Technology, Texas Mutual.” He added,  “Having a complete solution with InsuranceSuite and Guidewire’s data management and business intelligence products will allow our users to quickly retrieve data and generate actionable business insights.”

This is not the first time that Texas Mutual has turned to Guidewire for transforming it operations. In 2014, it selected Guidewire’s Claimcenter and it is also rolling out Guidewire’s PolicyCenter and BillingCenter in the coming months. DataHub and Infocenter are going to be deployed at about the same time the other solutions are being put in place.

By taking advantage of these kinds of solutions, Texas Mutual will be able to add to the ease of doing business through the deployment of self-service options that allow employees to get access to reports and conduct better queries on their own. The solutions will also allow the company to get a better map and convert data better through the InsuranceSuite product line. In addition, there will also be a better view of user data all across the organization. This means employees will be able to better see claims, finance and underwriting data.

This type of upgrade to next generation solutions are becoming more commonplace in the insurance industry as they provide the dual benefit of significantly reducing the cost of done business while simultaneously enhancing the customer experience.
