ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP (ENTA), a large medical practice serving New York, New Jersey and Connecticut that specializes in ear, nose, throat and allergy problems, recently announced that it has reached two new third-party insurer agreements with Cigna as well as the North Shore-LIJ CareConnect Insurance Company (CareConnect).
ENTA patients that are members of these two insurance companies will now have access to the practice’s 41 state-of-the-art healthcare facilities at more reasonable rates. As the latest additions to ENTA’s current portfolio of almost 20 negotiated contracts with various other insurance companies, these new agreements help ensure the highest number of patients are accounted for and will benefit from in-network rates. The agreement with Cigna is in fact an extension of a prior contract and went into effect on July 15, 2015, whereas the agreement with CareConnect is a new negotiation that became effective August 1, 2015.
The practice’s dedication to implementing cutting-edge medical technology is a major draw for insurance companies that are always in search of the best healthcare providers possible. Some of ENTA’s impressive technological implementations include:
- Endoscopy units with digital chip processors
- Video towers
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- The largest hearing health center in the U.S.
In addition to providing patients with a more efficient and pleasant healthcare experience, these technologies as well as others help ensure the practice’s medical care is top-notch.
“It is our distinct pleasure to provide superb medical service, and we are extremely gratified that even more people in New York and New Jersey can now avail themselves of our services,” said Robert A. Glazer, CEO of ENTA. “Like us, each of these insurers is invested in the healthcare continuum and each shares a goal of connecting consumer's insurance and wellness needs in order to make healthcare easier to access and navigate. In addition, their coverage of employer groups whose companies are located in the Metro New York area-plus Long Island and the Hudson Valley-creates enormous synergies with our office locations.”
