StoneRiver, a developer of software for insurance professionals, recently announced the release of Stream Policy, a policy administration tool, that comes as the final part of the whole Stream Suite.

StoneRiver has been building its suite of tools in line with its own customer research. The company indicated that it has taken lessons learned from interaction with real customers in order to make its products fit them well. Stream Policy will try to help such customers complete their policies and provide them with enough background information to make informed choices. It allows agents to create policy quotes as part of the learning phase and then issue real policies and endorsements following that customer interaction.

Overall, the suite is meant to adapt to agents’ and customers’ changing needs. Gary Anderson, the president of StoneRiver, commented in his company’s latest announcement that it is dedicated to helping insurers keep pace with variations in the market.

“As the shift has moved from best of breed to best of suite, it’s vital that we offer our insurers not only an integrated suite of core components but also one that allows for adaptation as needs emerge in the rapidly changing world,” Anderson said. “The way insurers think about their products and customer interaction will continue to evolve. We are committed to help insurers keep up with the pace of change by providing solutions that will allow insurers to have a competitive edge.”

Stream Policy was created to act as a high-quality policy administration tool that is able to scale with businesses as they grow. Its features include a policy engine that users can configure to their needs and product configuration in order to act as users intend. It can connect to silos of data to give insurers insight about the market, and it allows for policy quoting and creation in the same dashboard, to streamline the process for both insurer and customer.

This final addition to the Stream Suite comes alongside Billing, Claims, Customers, and Distribution tools that all hold their own purposes in the insurance world. While the first two may come across as self-explanatory, it is worth noting that Customers acts as a customer relationship management tool and that Distribution gives agents access to information about their corporate partners. Combined, those two tools can ensure that conversations are never lost in the woods. Altogether, the suite makes it possible for agents to get the most from their work and from their interaction with all customers and partners throughout the day.
